I think I could get used to this…

Standard

I played around with another collage yesterday…and, framed the one I had previously completed. *Best part? That little frame set me back LESS THAN $2.50, THANK YOU, Goodwill! 🙂

I’ve discovered that collages can be MESSY…but, to me, MESSY = FUN! It’s all still brand new and I’m still just experimenting at this point but, I really think this could be a fun hobby! It also gives me a new way to display my drawings. I really like having the various dimensions, layers and textures….I think it adds more interest.

Is there anybody out there?….

If so, please be brutally honest:  would you laugh/snicker/scoff at a print of this birdhouse art? I’m *this* close to considering having some prints made (just a few) to test the waters. Problem is:  I see other artists and am completely blown away…but, I also know it’s no good to compare myself to others. We all have something unique to offer…right?

🙂

Lazy Saturday = perfect day to experiment!

I’ve been trying to find new ways to use my girls to create more interesting pictures. I always feel like my drawings are incomplete and lacking. I’m experimenting by adding more layers (paints, chalks, etc.) to create something a little more interesting? It’s a start….still have some way to go. 🙂

Lawrence Welk..anyone remember him?

Standard

I (fondly) remember spending the night with my grandma and grandpa when I was a little girl. She always made sure to have individually sliced cheese when I came to visit! 🙂 *she’d probably be disappointed to know that I no longer eat cheese* 🙂

I recall watching The Osmonds and The Lawrence Welk Show when I stayed with her. Bubbles EVERYWHERE!! How cool is that? Imagine making such a grand entrance wherever you went!
