Playtime/quiet time…with my Moleskine. ❤
“When you feed a fish, never feed him a lot.
So much and no more! Never more than a spot,
or something may happen. You never know what.”
Fish on, Otto.
I just finished my second commission. So much fun….mixed with a little anxiety. I wanted to make something I could be proud of and, of course, something that the client would really enjoy (and, not use as kindling for their fireplace).
So, here are a few pics of the finished piece….”You are beautiful…pass it on”.
My new friend. I made her this week.

Happy Friday, everyone!
Starting with a blank sheet of paper, sketching out an idea, and bringing that idea to life on a canvas is such a great experience, for me.
I always start with a definite idea (with my initial sketch) but, once I start adding colors, textures, swirls and strokes, I just let my mind go where it wants to go. Totally unplanned. So, in a way, it’s always a surprise to me (my art), once it’s finished. Each of my little ladies takes on her own unique expression and life. It’s like I’ve created a new friend each time I finish one.
Happy Thursday, everybody!
“I once had a sparrow alight upon my shoulder for a moment, while I was hoeing in a village garden, and I felt that I was more distinguished by that circumstance that I should have been by any epaulet I could have worn.”
~Henry David Thoreau
