FUEL…

Standard

I missed the deadline (too late this am) for the previous IF submission for the topic SCATTERED! argh! So, I’m getting a super early jump on my submission for this week’s Illustration Friday. The topic this week: FUEL.

I started this little prima ballerina a couple of days ago…..I finished her up this morning. I thought the perfect addition to this illustration would be the words: BELIEF, FAITH and DETERMINATION. Afterall, aren’t those very things the FUEL behind all amazing ballerinas?

Happy Friday!

DREAM….

Standard

I seem to be doing a lot of this lately. Here’s my submission for the upcoming Illustration Friday. The topic is “scattered”. I think I used this illustration to interpret my idea of how it feels when you’ve got a dream….in too many pieces and scattered. I’m currently trying to pull my ideas and plans together to work on a little dream I have. Who knows? Maybe one day it could be a reality for me. 🙂

I got my Wacom Bamboo Capture tablet and am super excited to get in and figure it all out!

I played with the tablet over the weekend. Drawing on the tablet is a lot different than the old fashion way, for me. I’m hoping to get my hands on a scanner in the near future. This way, I can sketch and draw out my ideas on paper and then, digitally enhance them using my tablet.  I feel I am able to control my pencil and get more detail using pen and paper.

In the meantime, I’m having a lot of fun exploring my new toy!
