…and, she is done.

Starting with a blank sheet of paper, sketching out an idea, and bringing that idea to life on a canvas is such a great experience, for me.
I always start with a definite idea (with my initial sketch) but, once I start adding colors, textures, swirls and strokes, I just let my mind go where it wants to go.  Totally unplanned.  So, in a way, it’s always a surprise to me (my art), once it’s finished.  Each of my little ladies takes on her own unique expression and life. It’s like I’ve created a new friend each time I finish one.

Steeplechase at Callaway Gardens

I attended the annual Steeplechase event, on Saturday. Met a lot of new folks/made some new friends, and drank a little bit of free wine. Had a good day! Sales weren’t what I was hoping for but, the company more than made up for that. xo
